Getting Started on AlphaAccess: a Brief Howto on Activating your Account

AlphaAccess is a new, state-of-the-art solution for residents of gated communities. And if you’re a resident of such a community, it will make your life much easier. How? By putting YOU in charge of visitor/contractor access at the gate.

AlphaAccess has already been adopted by two residential communities. And the results are excellent.

Residents like being in control of access to their visitors, contractors, vendors, etc. When your community announces its adoption of the AlphaAccess Management Solution, you’ll be invited to activate your account. Activation is an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process. And once you’ve done it, you’ll be in control of who you allow through the gate, and under what circumstances.

THE STARTING POINT…

Your invitation from your community’s management will contain a link to a secure web page, set up strictly for this purpose.

The whole process involves only four easy steps…

  • Creating an account on your community’s web page
  • Downloading the app
  • Activating the account
  • Logging into the app to start issuing invitations.

And that’s it! You’ll never again have to deal with phone calls from the gatehouse every time your guest or contractor needs entrance to the community.

Each community using AlphaAccess has its own user-friendly app, guaranteeing privacy to both communities and residents.

To create your own personalized account on your community’s website, just click on the AlphaAccess link, and then the “Activate Account” button at the bottom of the page.

As you’ll be using the new app for the first time, you’ll need to fill out – just this once – your name, address, and last four digits of your phone number. After you’ve done this, press “Activate.” (Easy, isn’t it?)

You’ll need to fill out a little – very little - information. And then you’ll be assigned a user name…which you’ll never have to write down, because it’s your email address. Then, you’ll be guided through the (very short) process of setting up your password.

After that, you’ll be taken automatically to your own private Residents Page, where you’ll click on your name to get more details. Here you’ll find your validation code, which will allow you to start using your app right away. (This is something you should write down.)

The final step is to register your car, so you will have easy access through the gate. This gives you the ability to add guests to your list (or remove them), from both the AlphaAccess web interface.

Step 2: Download your community access app:

Find your community access app, from Google Play for Android phones or from the App Store for iOS phones. Below are screen shots of sample apps from Google Play (left) or the App Store (right).

AlphaAccess gives you the flexibility to choose which guests and contractors can enter your community. And it gives you the flexibility, as well, to choose specific categories for each visitor (temporary, permanent, etc.).

After you submit an invitation, all your guest has to do is show it on their phone at the gate. The guard will scan it. And your visitor will be inside within seconds…without you having to run to the phone to answer a call from the gatehouse.

THIS PROCESS WORKS QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED!

We’ve already tested it many times. And both residents and gatehouse staff in the communities who’ve adopted it say it’s both fast and user-friendly.

In fact, creating your account and activating your account, downloading and using the app, and then logging in to start issuing invitations takes only 10-15 minutes. And you only have to do it once.

And if you ever run into any problems, we’re here to help…and that’s a promise
It won’t take long for you to see that AlphaAccess works…for everyone involved!
